Every person has the right to wash himself. Still, not everyone is granted the opportunity.

People who are forced to live on the streets do have the same needs as everyone else. But other than everyone else, they do not have the access to sanity facilities and therefore only rarely to opportunity to wash themselves. Public showers and toilets also cost money most of the time, which creates another barrier.

Dominik Bloh, author and Co-Founder of GoBanyo, used to be homeless himself and had experienced, what it is like not being able to fulfill basic human needs in all means. Looking back at it he once stated: “If you are constantly being treated like dirt, you eventually feel like dirt.”

In order to battle this issue, the non-profit limited company GoBanyo was founded.

Through a successful crowdfunding campaign in December 2019, a remodeled bus introduced a mobile solution to this problem.

The shower bus stops at different locations around the city in order to provide access to as many people as possible. Using the shower bus if free of charge, our guests receive clean clothes and care products – all in privacy.
